Ontario's Neys Provincial Park on the north shore of Lake Superior encompasses the historic Coldwell Peninsula along with some nearby islands, including the famous Pic Island. In the 1920s, Group of Seven artist Lawren Harris ( 1885-1970) walked this land in search of the best vantage point to paint Pic Island. Harris' "Pic Island" is now a Canadian icon. After making an effort to confirm the most likely location used by Harris to paint his picture, the photographic image that follows is my version of the famous "Pic Island".
